Patent Attorney Trainee
Erik Schmidt has been working for our law firm since 2020 and is training to become a German and European Patent Attorney. He studied mechanical engineering at the TU Dresden, with a special focus on fuel cells and batteries.
His technical focus is on mechanical engineering, automotive and lightweight construction. In this regard, he assists clients in drafting and defending patent applications. Erik has in-depth knowledge in the fields of composite materials, drive technology for electric vehicles and medical devices.
In addition, he advises his clients on matters relating to the new EU Medical Devices Regulation (EU MR).
