studied pharmacy at the FU Berlin. He received his PhD as a Schering scholar at Humboldt University Berlin in cooperation with the Charité in the field of neuroprotection/electrophysiology.

Dr. Christopher Brückner

began working in the IP field in 2002. He was admitted to the German patent bar in 2005. From 2005 to 2008, he worked for Bosch Siemens Hausgeräte GmbH as an in-house counsel and then entered private practice with Bardehle & Pagenberg, a law firm in Munich.

His practice centers on drafting and prosecution of patent applications, conducting opposition procedures as well as nullification and infringement actions, particularly with respect to chemical, pharmaceutical and biotech matters.

Christopher is author of a commentary on SPC law, which has been published in German and English by the Carl Heymanns Verlag and which has become a standard reference for this topic. In addition he is coauthor of the EPC commentary Singer/Stauder. He is a sought after author, lecturer (Supplementary Protection Certificates, SPC for Beginners, SPC (Advanced SPC) and commentator in this field.

In 2012, the Düsseldorf Higher Regional Court appointed Christopher as an independent legal expert in a patent dispute in the pharmaceutical field.

Christopher is admitted to practice before the German Patent Office as well as the European Patent Office and the OHIM.

He is a member of VPP, FICPI and DPhG (Deutsche Pharmazeutische Gesellschaft).
