Michael first studied Logic and Epistemology, Theoretical Linguistics, Philosophy with a focus on proof theory and then Physics at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich. He completed his diploma thesis at the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft at the Institute for Building Physics in Oberlaindern near Holzkirchen.
Afterwards, he worked in the field of failure analysis/reverse engineering.
Michael Klier began his career in IP in 2001 as an associate in renowned patent law firms and at the Federal Patent Court. He has many years of experience in the fields of software, artificial intelligence, autonomous driving, mobile technology, semiconductor technology, photonics and sensor technology. In addition, he has worked for software and electronics companies as an external patent consultant since 2006.
