If we need to attack third party’s IP rights or to defend our own ones, I am confident and feel safe when I have Matthias at my side with his tenacity and profound knowledge and experience.
Having worked for several well known law firms, Dr. Matthias Stolmár founded his own firm in 2001 since he believes that legal advice should be service oriented and customized to each client‘s specific needs.
His technical expertise lies in the fields of battery materials, chemistry, material sciences and MedTech. Matthias is well experienced not only in prosecution, but also in opposition, litigation, invalidity and infringement proceedings, in the EPO and GPTO. He also advises on licensing contracts and employee inventions.
In addition, Matthias provides counselling regarding FTOs, M&A, IP due diligence and helps clients to develop bespoke patent and trademark strategies. Matthias takes a personal interest in wine law and is one of the few German members of the Wine Law Society.
As Chairman of the Patent Law Group of the German Chemical Society (GDCh) and as an advisor to the Dres.-Volker-und-Elke-Münch-Stiftung, he is also involved in promoting science and research in the field of chemistry.
